DELICIOUS OMELETTE PUFF

Just now, I helped my mum to make her new recipe called OMELETTE PUFF. They taste heavenly delicious and crunchy. Instead of filling them with chopped potato, she filled them with omelette. If you eat one, I will make sure you want more. She is such a genius. huhuhu. The size of the puffs are enormous. I am feeling stuffed now. They only cost RM1. It is so cheap,I guess. Did I say that they are SO big? Anyway, they are way too big. If you want to have a bite on this ENORMOUS OMELETTE PUFF, order them at

COOKIES TIME..

Annyeong-haseyo(hello),

This morning, I made COOKIES. That was the original plan, actually. I was so eager to make them, really. At my first attempt, I set the oven to bake the cookies for 15min. And you know what the result is.. a very black choc cookies. They all burnt. Then, I set the oven for only 10min. The cookies were too soft to be considered as cookies. I do not know what have I done wrong this time. Maybe the mixture is too soft due to the excess of oil, I guess.

My second and third attempt, I managed to get the cookies from burnt. Since there were still a lot of mixture left and my lack of patience, I scooped more than 2 tablespoon full into the baking pan. They turned out to be a CUPCAKE.. huhuhu.. COOKIES to CUPCAKE..New recipe from me. But, they still taste wonderful. Look who is the chefla.. Self-praised again. Right then, Gamsahamnida -thank you in korea.

GOING TO ROMPIN

Hallo..

Last week, my family and I went to wedding reception at Nenasi, Pahang. I was so excited to go there because I have never been there before and also I felt suffocated to sit at home. I felt excited
to go almost anyplace on earth except my house. We were taking this 3-hour journey to Pahang. I was sitting at the back of my sis's Grand Livina with Syahir which make me feel dizzy or may I say LANDSICK. The long journey cause all of us to doze off- not ALL of course, B. Awi was wide awake,if not we will all ended up in the drain. Huhuhu..

The sun shine brightly.

After sleeping, waking up and sleeping again- we finally arrive at Nenasi. The changes of surrounding were so drastic. From a very well-planned residential area to a not so developed place. I was touched with the poverty occuring in Malaysia. The houses were poorly built. They were only made from rattan. I was so thankful that I do not have to experience such life.

These are some pictures of the houses in Pahang.

The wedding reception took place in this remote house. The surrounding was full of trees and bushes. The only house nearby can be found like almost 1km away. The wedding was held modestly and the couple were totally made for each other. Beside the house was a double-storey building with no window. I thought the building was for the storing of food or something. It turned out to be the place for the swallow to build their nest. The nest will be collected and sold at a very high price.

Took this from internet- example of the place for the swallow.

After filing our stomach with all the food served, we continued our journey. My parents suggested to stay overnight at any place nearby. We reached the ROMPIN BEACH RESORT. To go there, we had to drive through a narrow place which at the side you can see nothing but more trees and bushes. I thought tha place will be like a ZERO STAR hotel. It turned out that the place was like almost FIVE STAR. OK, it was not like you saw on TV with all the jacuzzi and all that, but it was much better than any resort nearby. As we reached there, my mum booked two rooms. One for my parents and I, the other room was for my sis,her husband and Syahir. We got the rooms which faced the sea.

After we prayed and took a short nap, we got read to take a stroll at this beach called 'HIBURAN BEACH'. The sea breeze was blowing strongly. The ocean was too strong and not suitable for swimming. I learned that the ocean was actually the SOUTH PACIFIC SEA. My dad said that if I swim to the north, I can reach TERENGGANU. I told him that I would rather swim across the sea to reach SABAH. Hihihi.. We had our evening snack, maybe can be considered as DINNER for me because I was ordering NASI GORENG DAGING MERAH which was too 'heavy' to be considered as snack, I guess.

Then, we took off our sandals and felt the pearly-white smooth sand with our bare feet.
The scenery was breath-taking. Not until I spotted rubbish were scattering along the beach. There were plastic bottles, plastic bags and even pieces of glasses. I was so ashamed with the attitude of Malaysian.

We woke up the next morning to take our breakfast served by the resort. It costs us RM10 per person. There were not much choices of food. What do you expect from only RM10? However, we managed to fill our stomach until our next destination. After breakfast, my dad and Syahir were so eager to try out the swimming pool. We checked out from the resort and bid goodbye to the lovely resort.

I thought that we will be heading straight home. But I woke up only to realize that we were in Ayer Hitam, Johore. We had our lunches and went for window-shopping. There were many places sell bridal accessories. The places were so colorful.

After that, we were heading home. I enjoyed myself despite my back pain and leg cramped. huhuhu.. That is all for now, then. MERCI BEAUCOUP- which means thank you very much in France.

MY LOVELY VILLAGE...

Assalamualaikum to my blog's reader,

I would like to tell you about my village. The place where all my relatives would be gathered to celebrate Eid-ul fitr, birthday party and also some feast. As far as I can remember, I only have 2 grandma. Both of my grandpa died before I was born. Both of my parents grew up in the same village which is KAMPUNG DURIAN DAUN. My mum was born in Singapore and migrate to Malacca as my late grandpa was working here. My mum and my dad were attending the same secondary school, SMK Masjid Tanah (now- SMK Sultan Alauddin).

My dad's hometown have places for all the chickens, ducks, goose and my favourite -RABBIT. My late grandma was so strong that she was the one who handled all the feeding and cleaning the animals by herself. I still remember all my siblings got to adopt one bunny for each of us. I got bunny with brownish-furred, which is really cute. My sis got this white-furred rabbit with red-eyed. The boys got the bunnies too but I do not remember what they look like.

But for once, my house seems like a RABBIT ZOO. Could you imagine! There are six of us at that time and also six bunnies wondering around in our home. At the beginning, we were being so caring about our bunnies. We fed them and wash them, like almost every hour. At the end, all the jobs were given to the one and only, MY MUM, for sure. As for my mum was very busy with her work as a teacher in SMKGB back then, she did not have any time for our bunnies. So, all the bunnies were sent back to my grandma.

My LATE bunny look like this.

My sis's bunny.

Not long after that, the rabbits were SLAUGHTERED and cooked. I do not remember any of my siblings were crying because of that. Maybe, we were already forgot about our bunnies when we taste the sweetness of the meat. huhuhuhu...

Now, I felt that my village is empty. Both of my grandma died not so long ago. There would be no one to spoil us anymore. My aunt lived in front of my grandma's home. She is the one who handled all the chickens and others. There are no more rabbits. My aunt loved to plant orchids. She really have green fingers. Attached are the pictures of my dad's hometown.
